R.I.P TIM HALES **UPDATE BELOW** TIM HALES T's  Monday, September 22, 2008

For those of you who knew Tim.. we have lost a great friend.. so many good memory's of amazing guy .. ride on Tim.. we will truly miss you and will never forget you!!

OFFICIAL TIM HALES T's..

We are getting some Tim Hales T-Shirts made to celebrate his life. As you can tell by the amount of comments below Tim was one of the raddest guys ever, on and off his bike. We thought it would be a great way to show your support for his family and to have something to remember him by. We're selling the T's for $35 each, and the money is going to go to his family or the Whakatane SPCA (Tim loved cats). We have only got a limited amount printed at the moment because it's all we could afford. If we run out we'll get some more printed. So if you want one send me an email at zombie.bmx@gmail.com.

Special thanks to Haimona for coming up with the design, Tim White and the Wazman for pitching in to get them printed.

Also please note th
at they are avaliable in Grey and Purple. Not black as shown below.

Below is a little video Louis Bolter put together of Tim riding.. It was filmed only last week in Melbourne.

Its great to see how many people out there cared about Tim.. after all in bmx we are one big family, Tim was one of the first guys I ever started riding with which must have been almost 8-10years ago now, so I have known him for a long time and he is one of the best guys I have ever meet, he was always so much fun to be around and made any situation fun and really took the seriousness away from bmx.. not to mention he was an amazing rider, he could do anything if he wanted... I remember him learning fufanus on my sub box with no brakes!!he just tried to balance on the coping, and he did it too, also he had killer style. Actually Tim was one of the first guys who help me decide to build and name this webpage.. zombie-flesh-eaters.co.nz.. and after a while when I was going to stop doing it he was the guy who emailed me and convinced me to continue.. thanks Tim! glad i listen to you. Anyway that's all for now.. there is plenty more Tim Hales stories to go around which I know will put a smile on your face.. Keep rocking Tim, I know you will. Peace!!

Its been hard times for all us here in collingwood. When you think of Tim all you can think of is laughter and having fun! Tim Lived and rode with the throttle wide open anyone who met him for even a minute would know. We are going to have a big memorial jam in the coming weeks. His prized pet Acid Cat will be there to judge who is the biggest freak! We will advise when we set dates.

Ride on brother, ride on!

An old cowpoke went riding out
One dark and windy day,
Upon a ridge he rested as
He went along his way,
When all at once a mighty herd
Of red eyed cows he saw,
A-plowin' through the ragged skies
And up a cloudy draw.

Yippee-yi-ya, yippee-yi-yo,
Ghost herd in the sky.

Their brands were still on fire and
Their hooves were made of steel,
Their horns were black and shiny and
Their hot breath he could feel,
A bolt of fear shot through him as
He looked up in the sky,
For he saw the riders comin' hard
And he heard their mournful cry:

Yippee-yi-ya, yippee-yi-yo,
Ghost riders in the sky.
Their faces gaunt, their eyes were blurred,
Their shirts all soaked with sweat,
They're riding hard to catch that herd,
But they ain't caught 'em yet,
'cause they've got to ride forever on
That range up in the sky,
On horses snortin' fire, as
They ride on hear their cry:

Yippee-yi-ya, yippee-yi-yo,
Ghost riders in the sky.

The cowpokes loped on past him and
He heard one call his name,
If you want to save your soul from hell
A-riding on our range,
Then, cowboy, change your ways today,
Or with us you will ride,
A-trying to catch the devil's herd
Across these endless skies.

Yippee-yi-ya, yippee-yi-yo,
Ghost riders in the sky.

Tim was the ultimate laid back guy, he lived and breathed BMX. I know how special all of you were to him and how all he ever wanted to do in life was ride. I am going to miss him so much I have been counting down the days til I could see him next week :(
I was Tim's partner for nearly 4 years and I just about never heard him say a bad word about anybody. He was super caring and definitely one of the good guys. I had the most awesome times with Tim and his bike, we never went anywhere without it. You'll get to see all those parks you always wished you could ride now Tim, love you forever XO Cathy

My boyfriend and Tim were best friends in highschool so I tended to get dragged along on their crazy adventures. No doubt everyone has a Tim story....
It makes me smile when I think about flatting with him and how I insisted he cook at least one vegetable with dinner and how onions didnt count. His love of deep fry EVERYTHING. Home brew that fermented and stunk out the whole house like yeast, when he knocked his tooth out and looked like a hill billy and of course Barry - the wetsuit Tim stuffed, clothed and used for pranks. I wouldnt trade those memories for the world and think that we should all learn a lesson from Tim - Spend life doing what you love and nothing else as it is too short.

Much Love Tim and thinking of everyone else who was at some time priveledged enough to share a smile, laugh and a beer.

Tim, shit man, still cant believe it!! such a tragedy :( Just spent the day with cathy (Im her best-friend) and she is so gutted, as are we all! I got to spend a few drunken nites with him and he was always up for it! Loved his smile and his "no holds barred" attitude, (eventhough at the time it got to cathy abit) lol :) but that was Tim!! will always remember when he and Cathy came to see me after the birth of my little girl, and he was right in there with cuddles for her! She was only a few hours old and he had seemed to have no hangups bout holding a newborn!
It looks like he is going to be sorely missed all over the world. R I P Tim x0x0x0x0x0x0x0x0x Loves to his family and friends especially Cathy! Im here for you girl! :) ..... Erin and Adrian

The design is bloody funny! as I'm sure tim would have wanted it, keep an eye out for it and if it sells well we'll do up some more and get some girls ones done up as well, take care.

Even though I havent seen Tim in a while it still rocks you to know such an awsome guy is gone.
So many stories on and off bikes.
deep fried anything (whole pumpkin comes to mind), eda toast, home brew and viking.
Tims put a smile on so many peoples face just by always having one on his own.

Rock on man, lost but never forgotten!!

Mike a Melville jam for him would be really cool, reckon we could turn the one coming up into one for him? possibly one sooner? Because fuck, all us Hamilton guys are gutted as fuck coz he pretty much started us all riding and stuff. And we'll all miss him crazily, even though we haven't really heard much from him recently it was such a shock to hear of this and yeah. So Tim Hales melville jam some time soon?

Like everyone, we were shocked to hear the news about Tim. A nice guy, great rider and one hell of a dancer!

Our thoughts are with your family and friends.

R.I.P. Smiley Tim.

This is some of the saddest news Ive ever heard.
Tim was one of the nicest and most chilled dudes around.
Im so grateful that I got to ride and chill with you heaps in Melbourne.
Its a huge loss to the world when we loose someone with a heart like Tims.
RIP dude,
We will miss you.

A massive thankyou to everyone who attended yesterdays Jam at Fitzy bowl!

The expected turnout was blown out of the water and we were all just, standing around in disbelief of how many people were actually there.

So much good riding was done, a lot of drinking, some tears, lots of hugs.. a big bowl pit full of plenty of beer chugging, dancing and general 'tim-like-antics' were going on. As the night was winding down, a lot of us passed around a marker or two and messages were written to Tim around his mural. Photo's will be spread around soon, i'm sure.

Once again, thankyou so much for everyone's support.. we had a tin circulating with a raffle to help Tim's family out and we're impressed with everyone's generosity. Thankyou to everyone who bought one.. three.. ten, even. You guys are amazing.
- Tickets will still be sold through Anchor BMX for the next two weeks for $2.oo a pop.
First prize - FBM complete.
Second - The Take frame.
And t-shirts are up for grabs also.

Once again, thankyou so much for coming down and showing your support.

-Ryan.
