EDH FRAMES!  Tuesday, January 20, 2009

This is some pretty f@#king sweet news... EDH are going to be making frames! and they look amazing too.. clean, simple, perfect!

Here is what Travis from EDH has to say:

Yes you read it right EDH is finally bringing out our debut frame which we have called the "Render" frame. The project has been in the works for near on a year now, countless drawings, hours behind the PC doing solid models, research and correspondence with our agent as well as manufacturers so it hasn't been an easy road but it will be sooooo worth it! Being NZ's only BMX parts company we have tried to bring bits of the NZ scene into the frame like the beer bottle silhouette seat stay bracket, the "Babes and booze" decals done by NZ's own Mark Skulls, it's gonna be great. Removable brake system, double butted tubes, integrated seat clamp, cnc'd drop outs and completely heat treated are just some of the features, so guaranteed the EDH Render frame will have it all! Below are a few model renders of what the frame is to look like. The production samples are in the works now and should be here mid Feb, with some of our team riders shredding them soon after..... Stoked and hope you are too! I will post specs up soon so keep an eye out..

Keep and eye out in for more news on these frames as Ill try and keep people up to date with whats going on, hopefully in February we will be able to see some photos of a prototype.

Thanks for sending the info through Travis.. its rad to see the progression of a NZ owned, rider owned company!

rad to see a modern day NZ company getting shit done.

I hope that you are able to do it for a fair price as most kids will still probably buy a fly/whatever everyone rides these days that has the same geo as this frame.

Assuming that it's the same geo as most frames.

either way, congrats lads . . .

Hey dudes, cheers for all the comments on the frame, feedback is always a plus so keep it coming. Send and email if you wish! Basically to answer afew of your questions.... I really don't have an answer to the 3 letter names it just happened? and I've never seen a Rampant frame so couldn't tell ya sorry.
One thing I set out to do with EDH is push great products at even better prices here in NZ.... as a rider myself I know how fucking dare things can become, hence our bars/stems cost $100 and not $150 like other brands (This does'nt apply to other countries as I don't have any control there lol) so with the frames I'm hoping for a retail price of around NZ$480 mark which is amazing at today's prices but it's still early days with this I'll keep Mike updated on this.. With the weight, currently we are looking at around 4.6lbs mark but this is only a estimate on the CAD model definite weights will be known when the first samples are made.... and Haimona you know babes and booze is where its at :D! Yeah boi!
