WHO'S GOT THE HOPS Monday, June 22, 2009 REDBULL BUNNY HOP COMP -WELLINGTON
 Justin from Red Bull Special Ops and Wellington shredder Luke McCombie ran a bunny hop comp on the weekend just been out side the Mac's Brewery on the water front. Nate Scott won the comp with a hop of 41-1/2 inch's.. that's pretty huge! Luke McCombie came in 2nd, Timmy Hutchinson and Tim Wilson where third. Check out the photos below.. looks like a fun time.          Props to RedBull & Luke for putting on the event, and thanks to Caleb from Spoke for sending in the photos.   There has been officially RedBull hop comps in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch now, maybe its time to organize a National Hop Comp! bring on the next comp, bugger the abbreviations, the proof is in the pudding, 41, 42, 43 inches is way off world record (44? - though i've heard of higher) so nobody has got bragging rights...crack 45 and you can blow your trumpet

hmm these un offcical results beg some questioning, when i spoke to moffat months back he reackoned beadle did 44 in van, and that was a surprise. sounds like that good old' fishing story..."how big was it". hahaha next comp should have a bar with no flex, the old plastic bar has 1/2 - 1 inch dip in the middle.
