Slacking...

**EDIT-
Ok, so it seems some people have no idea what the Ltd. tee we are giving away is all about- 'Tuhoe Gun Club' so heres where the idea came from
"
Oct 15 2007: Police raid houses nationwide and arrest 17 people, including Maori activist Tame Iti. Guns, napalm bombs and Molotov cocktails are allegedly seized. " This teeshirt is to shed light on these terrorist raids against the Tuhoe people, depending on which side of the fence you sit on the matter, the teeshirt could be interpretated a number of ways.

Ive just posted up some info on a competition Im running over on the re-vamped Quietchaos site, click the banner over to the right for more info. Heres the goss-

"In 2008 we are running a year long promotion- every issue of VICE magazine in 2008 will have a themed ad and most of these will play on a recent controversial event. Each ad will coincide with the release of a limited edition teeshirt following the same theme. Tee shirts will only be available on www.quietchaos.co.nz and only 10 will be available to win.
Ive just got the next issues ad ready, and its a laugh.. all I can say is Britney could be on my back!"

Check out the Dec/Jan issue of VICE in stores any minute - check this issues tee- this could cause a stir but hopefully everyone can see the lighter side of it! When entering you will be asked for an Entry Code, its on the Ad in VICE mag, but here it is for faithful zombies who cant find the mag- this issue its '421'
You can enter by clicking the banner at the top of the site HERE
Winners will be notified early March (when the Feb Issue hits stores)

Theres a Dirt Jump jam coming up 23rd of Feb from 12.00 until dark, the venue is 'Dave & Lewis' s place half way from Hamilton to Raglan. I havent seen the jumps but from what I understand thay are pretty sweet and not super huge so easy for anyone to ride. Paul Needham is heading up the whole thing and has built the jumps so they'll be in top shape. Address is 153 Cogswell Rd, half way from Hamilton to Raglan. Email lester [at] quietchaos.co.nz if you need more info and Ill see what I can do.
See you there!

If you haven't seen/heard yet, the Rascats (Fit Riders) have their own rasta-blog at www.rascats.blogspot.com

Stefan Lantschner who rides for Fly Bikes and Nike 6.0 had a promo sorta vid up on the Fly site a while ago, if you aint seen it yet its well worth a look, the dude rides fast, high and radical, has good bicycle riding technique and nice two wheeled stunting. Click HERE

The above might oneday be needed if this website keeps growing....

RANDOM UPDATE  Tuesday, January 29, 2008

Do you remember Cherry Coke? that shit was the best drink ever and for some reason during the 90's they took it of the market in NZ! I thought you could only get it in other countries but I managed to find someone who sells it here in Auckland City the other day.........that made my day and is worth a post.

Below are a few photos that I thought might interest a few people, either that or the story behind it might be interesting to someone. Basically Its a T-1 frame I own from about 4 years back, but they deal behind this thing is that its a T-1 prototype made from Reynolds tubing that actually belonged to shredded Garret Byrnes himself. He left it with Triple Six Distro in Australia when he was on a world tour, and one way or another it ended up with me involving a deal with a road bike frame. Anyway I'm pretty stocked to own it, its a nice piece of BMX history. Oh yea it only weighs 5lb too which is fuckin light for a 4 year old frame.

Anyway thats enough random crap for now, Ill have some info on some up and coming jams soon as well, so keep an eye out for that. Also I would like to thanks Alan Montefiore
for the help with the web page.... thanks Alan!

H-TOWN PHOTOS  Monday, January 28, 2008

photos I took.

Below is a few riding photos from Victoria park sent in by Charlie Barratt and Seth Lemming.

One last thing, I haven't managed to sort out the problem people are having viewing this site on some internet browsers, so for now try using FIREFOX, it seems to be trouble free.

NEW TWENTY TWENTY FOOLS  Wednesday, January 16, 2008

I just got a copy of the new 2020 magazine in the mail and its looking pretty hot! Every time I get a new issue of this magazine it seriously gets better and better. This issue has a good amount of NZ content in it too and its going to be out in NZ soon so keep an eye out for it.

Below are a few photos sent in by Justin at Redbull, the first few are of Mike.L shredding his track bike and the others are from lazy Sunday ride. Thats all for now, more news coming soon!

HOW FAR WILL IT GO!  Monday, January 14, 2008

I see lester posted a link below to a crazy light bike, so I thought I would post this bike I found kicking around on the net too. When I look at a bike like this it makes me think... how far is this lite weight shit gonna go.. I mean this bikes running 24h wheels or something, those things would cave if you cased a 20ft double, and its got MTB cranks...WTF! I thought you where suppose to have BMX cranks on a BMX... and to top it all of its got alloy bolts through the whole bike, imagine landing flat on a 6 foot air out of a 6 foot 1/4.... good by face... you can bend those things with your hands. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying light bikes are a bad thing, I run a 22lb bike myself..... but just remember its better to have a strong and safe bike than something to light.. you maybe able to bunny hop whip on your 16lb bike, but as soon as you got to catch some mega hang time or three a 20 set your taking a risk!!! thats if you can even air a bike this light. Anyway check it out, you do have to admire the length this guy has gone to save weight.

One last thing, I have heard a few people are having trouble viewing this site, so just letting you know I'm working on it and should be fixed soon!

THIS IS RETARDED...  Thursday, January 10, 2008

This bike is insanely light.....

One last thing, as you can see Lester has been doing a few updates on this page which is rad to see and means more updates for you guys... Lester is also been super busy with other BMX related stuff like this for example... www.quietchaos.co.nz..... the NEW QC site... looking rad as hell!!

ACOUPLAPICS  Tuesday, January 8, 2008

Dreary day down here in Hamilton so heres a couple of things to look at-

Geoff Slattery has mad boooost! This is a pic from the latest Dig mag (which wont see NZ shores for a couple of months probably) I got this off some site- probably Defgrip.net?

How long will it take for 'fixie' riders to realise they should just get a BMX? Even a scooter is better than this! (no offence if you ride one!)

that is all...
