I just got word from Triple Six Dirsto that the new 2008 Subrosa completes have landed in NZ and will be available in bike shops through out the country in the next week or so. So if you are in the market for a new bike get them while there hot!
Just quickly- vitalbmx.com has a interview with Dennis Enarson up, theres a couple of clips in it of Jed riding the trails at Lonnie Paxtons place... rad.
Don't forget this Sunday is the Raglan 'end of summer jam', its going to be allot of fun, the bowel there is really good and the high air comp will be crazy for sure. And if you get sick of riding you can all ways get some fish'n'chips, a sixer and sit on the beach.
Im in the south island at the moment, on a bit of a sales mission for Quietchaos, checked out 'Daves Place' in CHCH the other night- quarters at each end, a bit of dirt in the corner and a couple of wall rides too,
Im in Christchurch at the moment, poaching some internet at RevolutionNZ, NZs first legit BMX shop.Sam and Nate opened up shop a few months back in Lichfield St, CHCH, super good stock with a wide variety of gear, and great service.... Along with the best brands around. Check them out online too www.revolutionnz.com for their online store- Boycot Dans & Albes and hit these guys up!
Went to ride 'Daves Place' last night, an indoor bikepark, complete with a dirt berm and little tabletop, pretty tight setup but super fun... Pics soon.

I saw this article over on ugzine.... an it is 100% ture, I think allot of kids need to read this and take note of its points. Its written in perspective of the Australian BMX scene but applies completely to the NZ market and scene as well...... check it out here blog.ugzine.com/?itemid=319.

There is an organisation started up called 'the COG project' which is trying to get GST removed from bike sale in New Zealand. Below Is there little blurb thing: The COG project (Cyclists Opposing GST) is a fundamentalist organization lobbying the abolishment of GST on all bicycle sales in New Zealand including parts and services. We, at The COG project, believe that GST should be removed from bicycle parts and services because of the following
- Cyclists possess a smaller ecological footprint per capita by not contributing to pollution or carbon emissions. - Cycling promotes healthy lifestyles. - Cycling discourages congested cities.
If GST is removed from bike parts and services more people will be encouraged to ride bikes as a primary source of transportation thus increasing the positive benefits of bike riding.
In conjunction with promoting ecological and environmental awareness, this petition aims to help protect the future of every New Zealander by decreasing emissions and promoting healthy lifestyles.
So basically what it means for all us BMXers is that parts will be allot cheaper here in NZ and more affordable! Which is a really really good thing for everyone. So if you wont this to happen you can help by getting of your ass and signing the petition.............thanks everyone!! www.petitiononline.com/projcog/
Mat Marshall sent me a bunch of photos a while ago, I forgot all about them... sorry Matt, here they are now! There from Lynfield Bowel and May Road park in Auckland city.

NEW NELSON PARK AND NELSON JAM
Monday, May 12, 2008
Sorry for the lack of updates, I'm over seas at the moment and its hard to find time at a computer.
Anyway I got an email the other day from Johann Wells with some photos of the new Nelson park which looks amazing. Also a copy of a flyer for a jam there having down there to celebrate the opening of the park. So if your in the area or can make the drive I would defiantly go, that park looks like allot of fun. Check the flyer for more info on the Jam.

JED Mildon is in Mexico at the moment at the REDBULL Elevation dirt comp, he just qualified 24th but unfortunately this means he missed the top 12 cut for the final. Good to see Jed representing in a stacked field!
A while ago I did an mini interview with George and Louis Bolter which was printed in Focalpoint mag. I thought seen as the magazine is really hard to get here in NZ and doubt many people got a copy's of the issue, and didn't get to see the interview, I would post the interview up here for everyone in NZ to check out.... click on the banner to your right to view it.
In other news Mark Skulls from www.skullbikeclub.com put together some new graphics for the skull site, if your from Auckland you will probably notice the similarity in the graphics from one of Auckland's oldest bike shops, Adventure cycles. I'm pretty sure every second bmx kid worked there at one stage or another back in the day!
I'm going overseas at 4 in the morning tomorrow, ill try and get some post done while I'm away, hopefully for now Lester will pick up the slack and get some content up here. Bomb voyage... or some shit like that!
On the 1st of JUNE there is a BMX jam at RAGLAN Bowl to send off summer... check out the flyer below, and be there!
Also Allister Walkers truck got broken into the other night and his bike got stolen. If you see a Specialised Fuse teal kind of colour with silver slam bars, grab it, it belongs to him! (I had previously written that it was a hoffman, but that was his old bike!)
