REDBULL ROAD TRIP PHOTOS
Wednesday, October 29, 2008
I finally got the RedBull road trip photos up, sorry its taken so long but sometimes I would just rather be out riding than sitting in front of my computer screen. Anyway click on the banner to your right to check them out. Enjoy!
In other news the Hamilton jam took place on Sunday and despite the rain it was a fun as hell, Ill have some photos up and a bit of a story from the event maybe tomorrow.
Ive made a few changes to the site. First of all if you check out the intro page there is a nice new photo of Kenny from H-Town up there, taken by Ryan McCrae. Tim Hales is now gracing the pages of Zombie on the banner at the top of the page, so we will never forget how rad that dude was! Tim R.I.P.S... (rest in peace shredder), photo also taken by Ryan. And last of all there is a new Revolution banner up, while your checking it out you might as well check out there site, the revolution web vid winners are up on there site now. That's all for now more stuff soon!!
Brian Anzellotti has opened a small but rad little BMX store in Rotorua. At the moment he is stocking most of Triple Six's products like WTP, Shadow, Colony, Macneil etc etc, along with Quiet Chaos, Volucid, Odyssey, Fit and Duffs. So if your passing through or live in Rotorua definitely stop in and check his shop out.. support your local scene especially rider owned!
The store is located in: Serious Fun 1207 Tutanekai Street Rotorua P.S photos above stolen from prophecybmx.blogspot.com but I dont think there going to care.
Cam Williams sent in some really nice photos from some of local Wellington riders, Its rad to see some riding photos from that part of the country. Thanks Cam!
T.WHITES BIKES GRAND OPENING
Friday, October 24, 2008
That's right, its official, T.Whites Bikes grand opening has been announced. The doors open on Saturday the 8th of November 12pm, so make sure you drop by for a celebratory drink and good times. On they day there is going to be a RedBull Specialops Grind Box Jam, ZombieBMX photo exhibition with photos from myself and Ryan McCrae. Dont forget there will be opening day sales. Basically its going to be one fun day and would be awesome if everyone could turn up and help celebrate the opening of Aucklands first dedicated BMX store. This is going to be rad!
Don't forget about the jam this Sunday in Hamilton.. details on the flyer. And to get you into the spirit of things, especially the flatland side of the jam check these photos taken by Ryan McCrae of June Dungca from nzflatland.co.nz
The NZ boys that are over in Canada at the moment had a jam for Paul Beadles birthday called the 'JamWedge'.. what a sweet name and idea for a jam! good to see all those guys over there still shredding and having fun. Its also rad to see Beadle still hoping so fucking high.. I think that's 44inchs in that photo!
If your a bike enthusiast and like anything with two wheels, or you just want to check out an interesting site with interesting posts keep eye on www.skullbikeclub.com for all sorts of bike related radness.
If you didn't know Louis Bolter rides for WeThePeople through TripleSix Distro and just recently finished putting together a Videorama for the WTP site, its such a rad little video... Louis defiantly has skills, check it for yourself.
Justin from Redbull Special Ops did a nice little post on the BMX road trip that took place on the weekend just been.. head over to his site to check it out.
You may have already seen this but they guys over at Strictly BMX have got a pretty cool feature up on there site called 'The Customizer'. Basically it lets you design what you want your bike to look like... so you can try out new colour schemes and so on. Check it out at strictlybmx.com, I guess its a good way of figuring out if your new gold stem is going to look good on your turquoise frame.
As most of you all know by now the fountain at Aotea Square is gone now... but not destroyed! The fountain has been put away somewhere and will make its return sometime in the future, Basically the whole of Aotea Square is getting redesigned, check the photos below. The design is looking pretty nice and should make for good street riding. And the best news is that the much loved fountain will be put back in its rightful place. Apparently the designer of the fountain likes that fact the BMXers and Skaters use it and wants it to continue to be used for that purpose.... how rad is that!
