L-R: Paul, Paul, Wheel L-R: Paul, Louis, George, George
Im still broke off after breaking my wrist back early Febuary, that means no riding, that means no fun, that means a pretty dull last few months in terms of riding! To break the monotony this weekend just been I headed out with Paul Langlands and the Bolter massive, bound for Taupo to meet up with Jed. First stop was Cambridge skate park to get some shots with Tim Pierce for some upcoming projects of his. As usual Paul shredded this interesting bit of concrete, boosting mad airs on the bank/quarter and hooking some sicko tobogans. The Bolters got tech, George getting his boost on and hitting some rad tech lines, and Louis hooked out some flips, whips and ledge madness. After some time at Cambridge (and Paul jumping out of the handlebar width chanel and over the fence!?) it was time to head south to meet up with Jed. Arriving in Taupo it was drizzling a little and freezing, probably about 5 degrees or so. Everyone was slowing down a bit with the weather but the shred went on. Paul was getting his opposite tail whips on and stringing together some cool lines while the Bolters flowed around and flipped the quarter to hip thing in the centre of the park. Jed was a bit sick but still showed some madness, usual big airs and transfers. The session was cut short as dark came on so we rolled out for some good old Noodle Canteen for dinner. Mint day!
Paul and Jed both head overseas next month to compete in various competitions, and you can bet we'll see them popping up around the web vids in the months to come. Good luck boys!
Just got word from Mike @ TripleSix that the new Lotek's are about to arrive in NZ in the next few months, this seasons models are definitely looking pretty nice so pre-order yours at a local BMX shop... rad!
I pre-orderd mine a T-Whites! Also look forward to a feature on TripleSix soon!
As most of you know.. sometimes myself and other riders in AKL get a little frustrated with the quality of the parks in Auckland City, we do have some good parks, but nothing compared to other international city's with similar populations. Auckland is long over due for a large scale city park. This isn't Auckland, but only been within 45min - 1hr drive out of Auckland city its getting close. This is the plans for a new skate park that is going to get built sometime in the near future in Mangawhai.... and it looks pretty much.. AMAZING!!
This park will definitely with out a doubt be worth the drive for Auckland riders. I will be trying to get a hold of the Mangawhai Council over the next week or two to see if there is anything we (BMXers) can do to help support the construction of this park.
Ok.. Sometimes I take photos and completely forget about them.. until one day while sifting through the files on my computer I find them again. Here is some I was stocked to find that I had forgotten about... these photos are from the Rotorua dirt jumps taken while on the RedBull Special Op's Road Trip.
The riders in the photos are.. Tim White, Louis Bolter, George Bolter, Brian Anzellotti and a couple of local Rotorua Riders. I'm pretty sure that in the photo of Brian that looks like he is doing a no foot can, its actually mid double whip.
Here is a nice sequence of a Antony Morris for Browns Bay doing a nose manual he sent in. Antony Actually sent it to me quiet a while ago but I totally forgot to post it.. Opps! ahwell, better later than never right!
As some of you may have seen I organized a Fit Back Pack giveaway last month along with SRCycles, all you had to do is answer the question what year was Fit Bike's established?.. The winner of the competition was 11yr old Chris Jolliffe from Beach lands, Auckland, So congratulations for getting the answer correct, which was the year 2000. Hope you enjoy the new back pack Chris.
Keep and eye for more Zombie web based competitions coming soon, I am aiming on trying to run something every 2 months or so.. and I want to keep the competitions as interesting as possible. In other news the problem some people might be having with visiting the site should be fixed over the next few days.. I hope!.. its getting pretty f#$ken frustrating that's for shore!

The air with the Skyway's is Karl and the other's Hughburgers....BMX gets better the older you get... makes life worth living PEOW PEOW !!!!!!!!!"

Tim Pierce (Zeroes & Ones) has been getting busy up in Auckland over the last few summer months, shooting video and stills for a number of projects, this time in the frame are the Bolter twins George and Louis. Above are a couple of 'throw-aways' from recent shooting, expect to see some more shots & video of the evil ones shredding soon.... RAD.

They have had a bit of a site make over so check it out.. www.temperedbikes.com.au there is a bunch of nice photos up there, along with some amazing products and killer art work.

Last of all check out the Tempered Bike Filthy Drains Challenge Video.. there is even some George and Louis Bolter in there.
Omri and Ryan out at Hedgehog Bikes are having a BMX sale at the moment and runs till the end of the week. Make sure you get out there at some stage and check out some deals. Check the flyer for further details:
Paul Moffat just recently sent me a bunch of photos from the NZ boys shredding in Vancouver Canada.. there heading into summer now so I'm sure there will be more photos on there way as the weather over there gets better, Definitely jealous especially with the bad weather we having been having here in NZ for the last few weeks. George Bolter is also on his way over there in the next few weeks to live with Moffat and Beadle for a while and ride all the amazing parks and enjoy the sunshine Canada has to offer.
Paul Gerlich from Flow Visuals sent in this nice little video of bonus footage from his new video in the works titled 'Underground'. By the sounds of it the full length video should be ready sometime in August. This web video features Daniel Carson and Kane O'Hagan's scrap footage that wont be in the final DVD.
Check out these shots of the new EDH Stem.. there definitely looking pretty nice! Here is what Travis from EDHhas to say about the new stem: "These are a few of the new stem prototypes we have been working on. I'm super stoked with the result and if all goes well the production models won't be too far off. We ran into some problems with the knife cut-out on the cap, so we have got a few done with it and some just pocket machined, we will see what happens :D Keep an eye out for some of our team riders sessioning the new goods at a park/trails/street spot near you....."
I am looking forward to finding out what the weight, length and material's are.
