Jono Hopping is now riding for Macneil through TripleSix Distro.. this is rad news for the shredder from Thames. Jono has been killing it on his bike lately and definitely deserves to be hooked up and supported by good company's like Macneil and TripleSix.
Stephen Geddes took this photo of Jono whipping the transfer a Tole St bowl. If you have ever seen or ridden these bowls you will know how crazy it is to whip that transfer.
Tyler Laing sent in a few photos of his friend Jesse Harris from Keri Keri who you might remember from the D1NZ Jam. Tyler has just started to get into BMX photography which is awesome, his shots already are looking good. The Tuck No Hands into the sun looks rad.
The KeriKeri Skate park looks like fun.. might have to try and make it up there for a ride sometime soon.
There is two post in a row relating to NZ riders on the Focal Point site.. get over there and check it out. I quiet often check the FP web page, Coopers always has lots of good content and rad photos up there from our fellow riders across the ditch.
I am also going to work on get some more issues of Focal Point over here to give away.
Here is some photos sent in by Louis Bolter who is currently in Canada with George. Looks like they are having an amazing time over there, the parks look rad and the weather looks great. Check out the GMC van the got which has a 350 chev to do road trip's in, rad! I beat they will get up some trouble it that, maybe they will meet two Canadian twins sisters called Georgia and Louise who can join them on road trips.. or maybe not?I think George and Louis are due back just in time for the EDH jam.. which by the way is apparently coming along nicely!
Last Thursday Tim from T-White-Bikes managed to double the size of his shop in only 17hours.. Check the photos, its looking really good and its definitely one of a few unique bike shop with allot of character focusing on mostly BMX and Fixed Gear Bikes. www.twhitesbikes.co.nz.
Paul Langlands sent in a bunch of photos from his trip through the USA with Hugh. Looks like they have been having a pretty killer timeover there and riding allot.
ESPN seem to be doing allot on BMX lately, especially featuring on inside the BMX industry... which is rad! Check this interview I found with Ryan Sher about the new 2010 Subrosa complete bikes line up. http://espn.go.com/action/news/story?page=subrosa_brand
Josh deReus sent in a bunch of nice photos of some riders from Cambridge. Unfortunately I don't know who the riders are in the photos... but thanks for sending them in Josh. Its always rad to see what other riders from around the country are up to.
Cameron Williams sent in this rad little video he shot of Tyler Knox from Motueka, it was filmed around Wellington over a few days. Tyler is a dialed rider and this video is well put together and edited, definitely one of the best NZ web edits I have seen lately.
A Friend of mine Hagan from HDOTSHOTS sent in these photos from the Dirt Bike Co launch party. He is a snowboard photographer so I think he did pretty well at snapping some BMXers.
In other news head over to bmx.co.nz for some photos from the D1NZ Jam and a sweet fronty crash video... rad times!
The D1NZ Jam took place on the weekend just been. For a while there it looked like it was going to be canceled due to rain but it turned out to be a really good day and an awesome event. Everyone who entered the event road really well and some pretty gnarly tricks went down. Kane O'Hagen came first, second was Jono Hopping and third, Stephen Geddes. Thanks to everyone who made it to the event, especially the riders from further down the line like the BMX Mafia and the Taupo guys. I will have a more of a write up on what went down tomorrow evening along with more photos, so keep and eye out for that. For now here is a photo of Jesse from Keri Keri who killed the 1/4 with a bunch of realy big table airs... Jesse is a shredder!
